What screams intelligent?
Growing up, the only person I looked up to in everything was my father and to this day I will always consult him for every huge decisions I make. I'm grown enough to make my own decisions but sometimes I need a second opinion, a suggestion or perhaps solutions and that person would always be him. He is the most intelligent person in my life and having him as a father really makes everything easier.
Intelligent. One word but holds powerful meanings.
I have been wanting to write this for quite a while now and today is the day.
No more procrastinating!

2019 was the year where I started to meet new people and make friends with few and from there I realised I was an observer rather than a social butterfly. I don't know where that came from but I observed people a lot until it shaped my perceptions of them. Also, I have developed my own perspective of what makes a person intelligent and that's what I hold on to until now.
2020, I also made friends with few and learned one or two things from them that I still keep with me to this day. They're very good at solving problems and my courses were all about calculating and theories-areas which these folks are excellent at. These people are considered smart. Smart, in terms of academic.
However, intelligent varies from being smart.
They are both different in so many aspects.
I'll give you an example.
Nature vs nurture.
Intelligence are based on nature. Meaning, some people may inherit intelligence from their parents and according to researchers, intelligence are influenced by both parents and were strongly associated with their parents's recorded vocabularies. Offspring with highly intelligent parents will likely result as a highly intelligent themselves.
On the contrary, being smart is nurtured. You can become smart through education, study a lot of materials, understand teaching method and formulas, befriending with another smart-ass, explore new things for experiences, and having the ability to apply those knowledge where needed.
This is just a first foray into discussing of what makes a person smart but I'm not here to talk about that today, am I?
But, can someone be both smart and intelligent?
Imo, of course, yeah. These two are different but a person still can possess these qualities at the same time.
Well, okay,
"Intelligence is the ability to solve problems, whereas genius is the ability to avoid them." - Albert Einstein.
And I second that, without hesitation.
You can google these definitions yourself it's everywhere.
However, intelligence, in my humble opinion, speaks even more than that.
P/s: I'm not good in wording my thoughts but I'll try.
How so?
It encompasses these elements:
Perceptive - Someone that is very good at noticing small details in something or someone and quick to take in any information regardless the situation. When a person is good at tuned in to people they will automatically be attuned to their environment. I always feel like these kind of people could make the world a better place. This also enhances someone's attractiveness cos when you're a highly perceptive person you are also a good thinker. These kind of people tend to have a critical thinking and maybe too good at problem solving. Not to mention they are pretty much a source for everything. Well, at least they are good at a bit of everything. As a women myself, I often seek a second opinion or solutions to my major problems and these kind of people know the drill. It's like they are prepared for these situations or even better were born with it.
Next, Sharp - A person who often focuses on what’s relevant and important, rather than viewing things in general and wasting time on irrelevant solutions, reflects a clear decision-making. These kind of people understand the pros and cons of the situations or decisions they face and are about to make. They have strong risk awareness and can effectively anticipate potential risks in so many situations. They also often having the ability to stay two steps ahead of others and to me that's some type of thing I wish I possessed. Precision in decision-making, for example, requires confidence. The ability to project confidence and persuade others may seem hard (for me), but these people possess a natural aura that can convince anyone they interact with. Literally, with anyone.
