Korea, Day 2.
Took the train to the next station which was Masjid Jamek.
Jk.
Next station, Namdaemun Market.
Namdaemun market ni macam a great spot if you're looking for authentic foods, they were so many food stalls and baju-baju jugak.
The first thing we did was having lunch.
We were being forced by local ahjummas to eat at their stall and at this point we couldn't resist as there were getting a bit agressive haha siap tolakkan kerusi stool tu for us.
We looked around and tried to politely say no.
"All menu the same" "All menu the same" the aunty shouted softly.
"Look" pointed us the menu that were sticked to the wall or door wtv that was.
Ok la kalau dah gini gayanya hahahaha
We sat, though we didn't want to.
The portion was huge, each person got 1 dish and mini dish that costed us 8,000 won per set.
Idk la how to describe but each set comes with mini/small dish of another food.
So let's say I got the cold-rice noodle then it will also come with small dish of soup noodle.
However, I got myself bibimbap and was given a seaweed soup (?) and small dish of soup noodle which I tasted but couldn't finish. The bibimbap itself was a huge portion pastu ahjumma tu tambah lagi satu small dish, ARGH I was to overwhelmed to finish them all.
We were defeated; none of us could finish the meal.
Dahla each person dapat set macam ni. So, 24,000 won times 3.
RM24 per person for lunch, Okla? My bibimbap was good, 7/10.
Too much for 2 perut besar and 1 perut kecil.
The makcik siap tanya, kenapa tak habis? (after translated from korea)
We were kenyang-yeyo ahjumma kamsakhamikdak
Largh jawo.
Next, coffee!
My bucket list was to taste their coffee so I did.
Bought cafe latte for 3,500 won and it tasted soooo good. This one with 1 pump of sugar and really made me wanting for more.
I wouldn't say it was too different with Malaysian coffee but their coffee was a bit unique. I love how the bitterness didn't overpower the whole flavour. It left a lingering after-taste but not too heavy which was just what I wanted. 10/10 for that.
After a coffee break, we continued our itinerary which was to go to Onion Cafe in Anguk. To get there we had to transfer train to line 3 from line 4 and stop at Anguk Station. It was a steady walk to the cafe and you will see the cafe on your left.
We were at the front gate for god knows how long taking million pictures and videos until finally made our way inside and relax a bit.
The pastry was a croissant filled with either cream cheese or yogurt I couldn't remember which but I am positive it tasted more like cream cheese than yogurt aha! this one melted in my mouth. Sedap, pergi beli.
Eh yang ni agak pricey, the coffee costed us around 7,000 won tak silap and the food more or less than 5,000 won. We were there for pictures technically but had to buy something to reserve a seat so yea gais.
You see, remembering how happy I was traveling with my friends makes me sobbing because we paid all of this using the only money we had time internship thinking it will be the best trip ever and yes it was, atleast for me. Through ups and downs we climbed those endless stairs carrying our luggages naik tangga ya Allah hanya tuhan yang tahu penat first day tu.
We mostly didn't think much about the price because we wanted to experience everything we could and that was the best part of this trip. We couldn't care less just take our money.
Anyway, we went back to our airbnb to solat, mandi, and tukar baju.
After maghribi, we went to DDP in Dongdaemun. Best, but I wish we went during the day and take picture of the unique shaped building tapi masa tak mengizinkan. At that point, we squeezed whatever we could to avoid wasting time. You can waste your time on a guy but not on a trip with your bestie especially when you are in Korea, take it from me.
As far as I could remember this one wasn't on our itinerary but we went anyway.
Tangkap gambar then we walked a bit to go Cheonggyecheon Stream and healing a bit and whilst we were walking we saw an ice cream stall.
The ice cream sedap nak mampuih.
Mixed of matcha and vanilla, 4,000 won per cone.
Nak pusing and beli lagi tapi yang satu ni pun jenuh nak habiskan.
Ice cream dekat Korea ni rasa dia very light and extra less susu cos Malaysia punya the susu taste overpowers.
Sambil habiskan ice cream we walked to the destination and healing and took pictures (asked a couple to take our pictures she was so nice to layan us)
We called it a night and took a long train to our airbnb.
Day 2, adapting to their culture and environments.
Penat jalan continues the next day.
Sorry not sorry for my mixed-tense english is my second language.
Arigato for reading, until the next entry,
