Adulthood is Adulting (Part 3)

I wiped my tears and calmed myself down.

Oh, shoot.

Did I just cried?

Why tho?

Memalukan-nya.

I googled the after-effects of surgery, and it suggests that it was because of the anesthesia I had to inhale before surgery.

Anesthesia, what a good name for kucing tino.

"The effects of anesthesia can sometimes cause emotional reactions, including crying. Anesthetics can alter your mood and perception, leading to feelings of confusion, vulnerability, or emotional release."

Makes sense, haha.

I perasan je I menangis time tu but I couldn’t tell you why because I didn't even know why.

Okay, leave it.

Finally,

I had my first bite of dory fish soup and rice with vegetables. It was so good that I thought I might ask for another one.

I was feeling a bit better and I thought to myself that getting surgery all alone wasn't so bad afterall.

22 and was ready for any adventures.

But, it does feel like I'm just a small boat in the middle of the ocean, waiting for help.

I was screaming for help but ended up doing it myself.

Wei, it ain't that deep pun.

Let's rewind to maybe....3 months before?

I came across this one video on twitter of how we should regularly self-exam our breasts for any lump, swelling and pain.

I got interested so I tried.

Friendly tips: Apply generous amount of lotion and start examining your breasts. Easier this way.

The whole process will be a bit renyah, but try to focus on your breasts first baru pergi armpits and other tempat.

If you google the tutorial on breast examination online they're avai everywhere and that's exactly how I discovered that I had lump which felt too obvious not to notice.

First time discovered, didn't feel like doing anything.

After some more research and self-awareness of breast cancer I went to the hospital.

Also after some paksaan by Aiman aggressively asked me to get checked so I did.

When I found out I had 3 lumps, 1 very obvious and other 2 are very small located at ketiak. It was a very thorough scan they didn't just found out 1 but 3 terus.

Alhamdulilah after some check-ups and consultations it turns out not cancerous.

However, if it was the opposite, ofc I will have to undergo a surgery to remove it and will have to be prepared for further procedures. Either way, it was a quick realization of finding out about the lumps.

It was a long breathe la jugak to think about removing or not because I couldn't find the right time to squeeze surgery and recovery.

Eventually, it was removed.

Up until today, breast cancer still is the common cancer among women in Malaysia and 13% of them diagnosed with breast cancer are under the age of 40.

One of the cause is delayed diagnosis due to lack of awareness.

Yes, awareness.

If I hadn't seen that video I wouldn't have gotten interested let alone tried the self-exam.

Maybe, I could give credit to my curiosity.

Curiosity killed the cat.

But satisfaction brought it back.

Pastu semuanya 11k dik.

Huhu

So, if you have a daughter or if you're a daughter yourself,

Please do self-exam breast regularly to avoid late diagnoses.

Love is also about how you taking care of your body and listen to it.

Also period cramps!

Just take the painkiller if you're already on your knees menahan sakit cramps.

Your body were tryna tell you that you need to do something about that pain.

Ambil ubat bila betul betul betul perlu tu tak salah yang salah tu if you didn't do anything to reduce the pain.

Me myself face period cramps the first 3 days of period every month and I took pills if I had to.

Mostly rasa nak pengsan kalau tak ambil.

So, make good decisions for your body life gets better when you listen to it.

Concern about your body more even the smallest things okaayyyy?

Peace out,
